Shipping policy

Gardening Downunder offers shipping to most Australian postcodes. Please note that some remote and regional areas are excluded from delivery. A list of undeliverable postcodes is provided at the end of this policy.

Orders are typically dispatched from our distribution centre on the next working day after full payment has been received.

Order Confirmation

Once you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This confirms that we have received your order and authorised the payment. We then contact our suppliers to confirm availability. If the item is unavailable or on backorder, we will cancel the pre-authorisation and notify you by email. If the item is available for dispatch within five business days, we will process the payment and arrange for shipment.

Damages on Delivery

Please inspect all packages upon delivery. If any item arrives damaged, you should note the damage with the delivery service when signing. Please contact us immediately and provide photos to sales@gardeningdownunder.com.au so we can initiate an insurance claim.

Cancellations and Refunds

Orders cancelled more than 48 hours after placement are subject to a $30 administration fee. If your order has already shipped, you will be responsible for the return shipping costs. Refunds will only be issued to the original payment method used at the time of order.

Shipping Providers

We work with a range of reliable courier partners including Australia Post, Fastway, Allied Express, and Toll. Depending on the size and weight of your order, we will dispatch using the most suitable courier.

Items under 22 kg may be sent via Australia Post or Fastway. Parcels over 22 kg may be sent via Allied Express. Items up to 30 kg may also be dispatched via Toll. Some couriers may require a street address and cannot deliver to PO Boxes. Failure to provide accurate delivery information may result in delays.

Tracking details will be provided to you once your order has shipped. You may be contacted by phone or SMS before delivery in some cases.

Shipping Notes

If a parcel is returned to us due to incorrect address details or refusal by the recipient, our team will contact you. Re-delivery fees will apply for returned or rejected parcels. If your order is a gift, please ensure the recipient is aware to avoid rejection.

Pickups from our warehouse or arranging your own courier are not available, as our distribution centre is structured for efficient direct dispatch only.

Delivery Timeframes

We aim to process orders quickly direct from Australian warehouses so you can enjoy your purchase sooner. Delivery times may vary, but we’ll keep you updated along the way. You will receive tracking information once your order has been shipped. Usually ships within 2-3 business days.
For customers in Victoria, approximately 7-10 working days;
For customers in NSW, SA, ACT, and QLD, approximately 9-12 working days;
For customers in WA, NT, and TAS, approximately 9-12 working days.

Undeliverable Postcodes

Due to carrier limitations, some locations cannot be serviced. If your postcode is listed as undeliverable or requires special handling, we may contact you before processing your order or cancel and refund your order automatically.

Undeliverable postcodes include but are not limited to:

South Australia: 5701 (Woolundunga)
Western Australia: 6740 and 6743 (including Drysdale River, Mitchell Plateau, Kalumburu, Warmun, Kununurra, and surrounding areas)
Tasmania: 7151 (including Heard Island, Davis, Mawson, Macquarie Island, McDonald Islands, Casey)
Northern Territory: 0800 to 0999
New South Wales: 2641, 2717, 2831, 2898, 2899
Queensland: 4184, 4421, 4450 to 4499, 4680, 4700 to 4805, 4806 to 4899, 4900 to 4999
Western Australia: 6055, 6215 to 6699, 6700 to 6799

For bulky items, certain regional and remote locations in the above states may also be excluded.
